Day 2 D.C!

Hey!!

Today we went to Washington D.C. Just me and Angela to fend for ourselves in a new area. We started off around 9:45/10:00 and went to Shady Groove Metro Station (yes that brought up the song Shake it). Once we got on the metro (which was extremely crowded) we spent about 45 mins being bombarded by people cramming in. Once we got into D.C we HAD TO stop at Starbucks because we are coffee addicts, then called our families to let them know what was going on for the day. While I was still on the phone this crazy lady came up to me and Angela saying she would read our palms for 5 dollars...scam yes, did we do it of course not! lol just the fact that she asked amused us. from there we tried to find Ford's theater but that was a bust because we ended up in Chinatown somehow. From there we found three different Smithsonian Museums first we went to the Natural History lots of animals and bones!!! Because of the bones we started thinking of the show that is supposedly based out of D.C at the Jeffersonian Institute..sadly after getting Home and seeing if it was real it is not in D.C but in Texas. Such a disappointment. From there we went to the American History Museum where we saw the first ladies dresses, Julia Child's kitchen and The random ruby slippers, Kermit the frog, Fonzie's jacket and Archy Bunkers chair! once we left there we saw the Washington monument was close so we walked towards just to turn around and walk completely in the other direction toward the Air and Space museum. From there to the Capitol building where we started sitting alot more we realized how sore we were becoming and we knew we had to walk back to the Washington Monument (which is pretty much on the other side of DC. So we started off. On the Way it started raining but we made it all the way to the Lincoln Memorial and walking up the steps was NOT fun at all when you are super sore. from here we wanted to closest Metro which ended up being about another Mile away in the rain =[. Eventually we made it and had a metro Adventure. I say adventure because we had to find our way back to the connecting Metro to take us home. I decided we jump on the first train (it didn't matter any train from where we were took us to the connecting station) it was just a matter of going the right direction. magically (by God) we made it on the right train in the right direction woo! then we hopped on the train coming home then drove to walmart got some dinner to come home and cook and have been lounging in front of the T.v since after dinner.

We are so sore and tomorrow we have to wear heels to a wedding followed by a 7 hr car ride to Schenectady New York. Blister total for today is 4. we go to NYC on Tuesday so we will see how many I get then. All I know is that I can barely move and A bed sounds reeeeaaallly good right now!

Well I know it was a super long post but that is why it's a blog to tell you about my adventure for the day. But I hope your day was well and I Will talk to you tomorrow!!

Love & Sun,
Honeysosweet
